In plain words
Most modern websites send the browser an empty page and a program that fills it in afterwards. Search engines and slow phones often see that empty page.
Server-side rendering turns it around: our server runs the application, builds the finished page with its text, prices and images already in place, and sends that. The application then takes over quietly in the background.
